Session 3: Ethics in Scholarly Publishing (5 minutes)
Making sure authors are aware of common ethical issues before they even start writing their papers can greatly increase their chances of a successful submission. Using examples from the APS publication experience, we will define a variety of ethical issues such as Plagiarism, Duplicate and Redundant Publication, Falsification and Fabrication, Figure Manipulation, Human/Animal Welfare Issue, Conflict of Interest, Authorship, and tips on how to avoid them.
